Tree Lodge
  
A few kilometers from Maun, Boswana lies this lovely lodge tucked away behind thick trees and small rivers.  Maun is the gateway to the famed Okavango Delta.  This is a town that thrives on tourism and research in the Delta.  Tree Lodge offers a rare experience in Maun as a lodge and small game farm just outside of Maun.  This facility has springbok, blesbok, ostrich, impala, zebra, and black faced springbok. Clients and guests can enjoy the outside dining areas, and pool as well as enjoy the huge amount of birds that frequent this facility.

Accommodation:
   Interns will have access to their own thatched cottage in the garden.  This facility has hot and cold running water, and the cottage has its own ablutions block.  However, only one intern (or a married couple) will be at this facility.  The interns can interact with the other group of interns in Maun which will be located near or with the University of Botswana, Openheimer Research facility.  Internet access is available at Tree Lodge, as well as in Maun.  As Maun is a large tourist destination, tangible goods are readily available.  There are lodge vehicles available on site and someone goes to town daily.  Your food and cleaning are included in the weekly rate for this facility as with all facilities.   

Projects:
   This intern will be in a management role and in charge of meeting clients at the airport and transporting them back to the lodge.  They will host clients at the lodge, and oversee the ordering of supplies, catering, presentation of the lodge and the food and beverages.  Additionally, the intern will ensure that the accommodation for clients is in order (make repairs or arrange for repairs if necessary), and that each clients logistical arrangements are in order.  If bookings for safari's or activities need to be made the intern will liaise with TravelWild to make arrangements.

  Your hosts at this facility will be Carl and Suzette Vorster as well as the TravelWild staff with whom you will be in close communication. 
Costs:
   The cost for this facility is US$100 per week per person
