This facility is located about 100 kilometers North West of Livingstone, Zambia , and Victoria Falls , Zimbabwe . It is in what is called the Ngwezi District of Zambia. This facility is in a rural area that is game lodge. If you are someone that enjoys freedom of being on their own, having responsibility and you do not need a large social group for interaction this is the facility for you. Only small groups of students will be at this facility at any one time. However, those students will have the opportunity to experience Africa in its finest, with limited facilities nearby. Transportation around the area will be mainly by horseback, and some Land Rover use when necessary. This facility is in the process of expanding and becoming a full on game lodge.

Accommodation:
Accommodation for students includes shared chalets with two students per chalet. There are en suite restrooms and ablutions facilities with both hot and cold running water. Laundry and cleaning services will be provided. Students are welcome to interact with clients and asked to behave appropriately. There is no internet or phone access at this facility. These amenities can be utilized on the mandatory weekly trip to Livingstone or Victoria Falls. There is a radio that will be used in the event of emergencies. Students in good physical condition and an interest in Birding or Game Ranch Management are encouraged to apply.

  • Construction Management students for erection of a 5000 hectare Game Fence
  • Construction of a small school for children living in the area
  • Engineering students to help with mechanics of Land Rovers, and facility machinery
  • Wildlife and Bird Population Survey
  • Vegetation Survey and Establishment of Biological Monitoring transects
  • Anti-Poaching and Wildlife Education Training
  • Interior and Exterior Design student to enhance aesthetics of the facility using local materials, and landscaping
  • Catering and hospitality training
